Client: Young Masterminds Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentorship for young men of color.
Challenge: I was brought in to help design the information hierarchy for their website, to clarify their mission and help drive more donations.
Solution: The high-fidelity mockup you see on the right includes quite a bit of copy, and a handful of graphics I designed as well. I reformatted the menu at the top to better organize the other pages, and I created a clear hierarchy of info that addresses any visitor’s questions as they arise. We start with explaining what it is they do, then provide some social proof, then some graphics showcasing statistics that demonstrate why what YMI does is important, followed by the various programs they provide. I also wanted to include the trailer for a documentary short they produced, which had won some awards and was incredibly well done. Finally, at the bottom we included some links for people who want to get involved, as well as donate!
